We are proud to share exciting news for The Green’s Ladies Golf Club community.

Our very own Angella Moore, Lia Rogers, and Lisa Wright have been recognized by the United States Golf Association as 2026 recipients of the prestigious Wilson Endowed Research Fund, a national honor supporting original research through the USGA Golf Museum and Library.

To be featured by the USGA is meaningful. To be recognized for preserving our story is extraordinary.

Preserving the Story of The Green’s Ladies

Founded in 1954, The Green’s Ladies Golf Club has long been more than a golf organization. We are a community built on friendship, resilience, mentorship, and a shared love of the game.

Through this grant, Angella, Lia, and Lisa will conduct in-depth research using the collections of the USGA Golf Museum and Library. Their work will uncover historical records, photographs, documents, and stories that help illuminate our club’s impact both on and off the course.

This research will contribute to a short documentary in partnership with the Precious Places Community History Project, ensuring that the Green’s Ladies legacy is preserved for future generations.

As Angella Moore shared in the USGA feature, this recognition is “a tremendous honor and a testament that the story of the Green’s Ladies is an important one worth telling.”

We couldn’t agree more.

Why This Matters

For over 70 years, The Green’s Ladies Golf Club has

  • Created space for women to learn and grow in the game

  • Fostered camaraderie and confidence among members

  • Served as a vital part of our local golf and civic community

  • Carried forward a proud tradition of excellence and leadership

This national recognition affirms what our members have always known, that our story matters. It reminds us that every round played, every tournament organized, every new golfer welcomed into the club contributes to something bigger than the game itself.

A Moment of Gratitude

We extend heartfelt congratulations to Angella, Lia, and Lisa for their dedication to preserving our history with such care and intention. Their leadership reflects the very spirit of The Green’s Ladies.

We also thank our members, past and present, whose commitment, passion, and fellowship continue to shape the legacy being documented.

This is not just a feature. It is a celebration of generations of Green’s Ladies. Stay tuned as we share updates from the research process and documentary project in the months ahead.
